I’m taking part in Misha and Beth’s Five Year Project and my five-year goal is to write a novel and get it published. So, I should have been sending my historical novel, The Reluctant Scribe, out to agents. In fact, I’m so disillusioned with the process of trying to find an agent, I’m considering abandoning the quest altogether.

In a few days time I’ll be selling Walking the English Coast on Amazon, as a re-seller, and signed copies will be available!

Forget the novel! Today I have some great news!
Walking the English Coast: a Beginner’s Guide, is published.
At long last, you might say. And it does seem I’ve been working on it for ages.
The book is now available as a glossy paperback, published with the help of I_AM publishing, who have been working patiently with me for many months.
- It’s 246 pages long
- Contains over 30 photos and illustrations
- A chunky 7″ x 10″ size (18cm x 25cm approx.)

Five Year Project: July update
I’m taking part in Misha and Beth’s Five Year Project and my five-year goal is to write a novel and get it published.
I’ve been sending my historical novel to agents: The Reluctant Scribe, set in the Tang Dynasty of China. This month I made some progress, with one agency asking to see the full manuscript. Unfortunately, they recently decided it wasn’t for them.
There are several other projects I ‘ve been working on. Here’s an update:-
June Update: 5 year writing project
Most of my attention over the past few months has been focused on getting my non-fiction book, Walking the English Coast, ready for publication.

May Update: 5 year writing project
I’m making progress on my non-fiction book, Walking the English Coast, with an anticipated publication date in June… maybe.
I’m taking part in Misha and Beth’s Five Year Project and my five-year goal is to write a novel and get it published.
But this month my entire focus has been on getting my non-fiction book, Walking the English Coast, ready for publication.
My original intention was to publish this book in May, ready for the summer hiking season. That deadline has, of course, slipped. Maybe it will be published in June… maybe.
