Last month, I reported I was sending my finished novel, The Reluctant Scribe, out to agents. This month, however, I’ve been focusing on my non-fiction book, Walking the English Coast, and preparing the manuscript for its first major external edit.

Stuck in the mud: July

I’m no nearer to my goal. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy writing.

I have been looking for an agent for my historical novel, The Reluctant Scribe. But, after four standard rejection emails, with no requests for the whole manuscript, my search has ground to a halt.

A way forward?

Feedback on The Reluctant Scribe

A few months ago I sent my novel off for review by an adult historical fiction author and editor. Her comments were very positive and she provided me with a number of useful suggestions to consider.

What have I done with my novel since then?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Absolutely NOTHING at all.
