Clichés

Clichés are all around us. They may slip by unnoticed – but once you tune-in to clichés, you find them everywhere. And the more you notice them, the more irritating they become.

A cliché is a well-worn phrase that has become meaningless through overuse. Clichés are all around us. They may slip by unnoticed – in our speech, in our reading or in our writing. A Writer’s New Year Resolutions – review of the year.

Yes, it’s time to think of some New Year writing resolutions. I am very good at making ambitious plans but I wonder if I have managed to keep any of the resolutions that I made with such confidence at the beginning of 2012.
